The Punjab Revenue Authority has reported a record tax collection of Rs. 149.5 billion during the first six months of the current fiscal year, marking a 35% increase compared to the same period last year. The progress was reviewed in a high-level meeting chaired by PRA Chairman Muazzam Iqbal Sipra.Officials also discussed plans to establish 100 new tax sectors, appoint additional officers, and launch capacity-building training programs for enforcement staff across Punjab. The chairman said recent legal reforms and improved enforcement played a key role in boosting revenue. He added that coordination with other government departments will be enhanced to ensure transparency and meet higher tax targets in the next half of the year.
