Punjab Reveals New Details of Murree Glass Train Project

The Punjab Masstransit Authority has released new details about the Murree Glass Train, an eco-friendly electric monorail designed to connect Islamabad and Murree in just 40 minutes. The project aims to offer a fast, safe, and scenic alternative to the heavily congested road route. The train will begin its journey from Lake View Park in Islamabad and terminate near the Murree bus stand. Four stations are planned along the route: Lake View Park, Chattar Park, Ghora Gali, and the final Murree stop. Officials say the electric monorail will reduce travel time, cut emissions, and enhance tourism by providing passengers with panoramic views during the journey. The initiative supports Punjab’s broader push for modern, sustainable transportation solutions.
