Punjab Livestock links UVAS research with farmer prosperity and dairy growth

Lahore: Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Secretary Ahmed Aziz Tarar visited UVAS Ravi Campus Pattoki and Buffalo Research Institute to review research, training, and livestock development initiatives. He said modern veterinary research, scientific work at the Buffalo Research Institute, and field services of the Livestock Department must work together to improve animal breeds, increase milk and meat production, and raise farmers’ income. Officials briefed him on research facilities, feed mills, hatcheries, milk processing, buffalo registration, semen production, nutrition testing, and real-time milk production data under transformation projects. Stronger livestock research can boost rural income, dairy investment, food security, and agricultural land productivity. Can modern livestock science transform Punjab’s rural economy?
