Murree: Punjab has launched an all-electric bus service between Murree and Rawalpindi, marking a major step toward cleaner and safer public transport in one of the province’s busiest tourist corridors. The service started on Thursday, with more than 15 electric buses handed over to the Murree administration along with dedicated charging stations to ensure uninterrupted operations. Officials say the new buses will reduce air pollution and carbon emissions while protecting Murree’s fragile mountain environment. The service is also expected to provide affordable and comfortable travel for local residents and millions of tourists visiting the hill station each year. Can clean transport improve tourism, mobility, and investment confidence in Murree?
