Lahore: The Punjab Information Technology Board has expanded access to the province’s Juvenile Driving Permit scheme by making the application facility available through e-Khidmat Markaz centers across Punjab. Teenagers aged between 16 and 18 can apply using a valid NADRA B-Form or Smart Card and written consent from a parent or legal guardian. Applicants must also pass the prescribed traffic-signs examination and practical driving test. According to details attributed to PITB, successful candidates will be permitted to operate motorcycles, scooters and qualifying electric bikes with a capacity of up to 125cc. PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said the service aims to improve access to government facilities while promoting legal, responsible and safety-conscious driving among young motorists.
