Punjab Approves Journalist Colony Phase-II Master Plan in Lahore

An important meeting of the Journalists Housing Foundation Board of Governors was held under the chairpersonship of Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari, during which the master plan of Journalist Colony Phase-II was approved. Officials said the housing scheme will include schools, wide roads ranging from 40 to 100 feet, commercial areas, and parks. The secretary information briefed that Rs400 million have already been paid to RUDA, while land acquisition is near completion under Section-4. The project will provide 3,200 five-marla plots to journalists, with allotment letters to be distributed by the Chief Minister in February. Authorities said development charges have been deposited by a majority of members and the project will proceed transparently.
