PM Apna Ghar Programme to build 500,000 homes nationwide

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched the “PM Apna Ghar Programme,” a nationwide housing initiative aimed at promoting affordable homeownership through subsidised financing. Under the scheme, loans of up to PKR 10 million will be provided on easy instalments for constructing housing units across Pakistan, including all provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and AJK. The government plans to build 500,000 homes, with an initial target of financing 50,000 units in the first year. Loans will be repayable over 20 years, with a fixed 5% markup for the first 10 years. This development under the Real Estate Core Cluster reflects a major Government Policy to boost housing supply and accessibility. For Lahore and Punjab, the initiative can significantly increase housing demand and construction activity. Will this programme make homeownership easier for you?
