Peshawar: Construction of the Jameel Chowk Underpass is progressing rapidly under the Peshawar Revitalization Plan, with remaining construction and finishing work being accelerated.
According to the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA), the project is moving towards completion. Work is continuing on different sections of the underpass to prepare it for future traffic movement.
Located on Peshawar’s Ring Road, the underpass is being developed to reduce congestion at Jameel Chowk, improve traffic flow and make daily travel easier for commuters.
Construction began in August 2026 with an initial 90-day completion period. An opening target of November 15 has also been reported, although the final operational date has not been confirmed.
Once completed, the underpass is expected to support wider efforts to improve traffic movement along Ring Road.
