Peshawar Moves Closer to Becoming Sister City of New York

PESHAWAR: Talks are progressing to establish Peshawar as a sister city of New York, after the New York City Mayor’s Office shared a draft agreement with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa authorities. KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said the partnership aims to strengthen people-to-people connections and promote cooperation in education, technology, youth skills development, culture, and economic growth. Officials believe the agreement will help improve Peshawar’s global image and open new learning and employment opportunities for local youth, while fostering long-term international collaboration.
