Lahore: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority Punjab has issued a province-wide public safety advisory, warning that negligence during floods and heavy rainfall can result in serious injury or loss of life. The authority said overflowing floodwater and accumulated rainwater can rapidly become dangerous, making even minor carelessness potentially fatal. Citizens have been advised to avoid entering flooded roads, rivers, streams and low-lying areas and to prevent children from approaching fast-moving water. PDMA Punjab urged the public to follow official safety instructions and take precautionary measures to protect themselves and their families. The advisory is a general awareness message and does not announce a new evacuation order, casualty figure, financial package or area-specific emergency.
