Islamabad: Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi visited the Pakistan Railways Carriage Factory and reviewed work on the ongoing upgrade of passenger coaches. According to the supplied Pakistan Railways update, the minister appreciated the workers involved in refurbishing and improving the trains. Officials said coach upgrades extend beyond repainting and include several technical, mechanical and safety-related stages before a carriage is cleared for passenger service. These processes are intended to improve coach condition, onboard facilities and travel safety. The Ministry of Railways confirms Abbasi’s designation, while APP has reported that Pakistan Railways is upgrading train services under its wider reform programme. No fresh figures, completion deadline or list of coaches covered during this visit was announced.
