Over 1,500 fans reported missing from Nishtar Hospital

Multan: A major inventory discrepancy has emerged at Nishtar Hospital after officials reported that more than 1,500 electric fans are missing from a hospital storage facility. According to a complaint submitted to police, over 2,100 fans had been stored in the basement, but a recent inspection found a large number unaccounted for. The hospital administration has requested a formal investigation to determine how the equipment disappeared and whether negligence or misconduct was involved. The incident comes months after previous concerns regarding missing medicines at the same facility, raising fresh questions about inventory management and accountability in public healthcare institutions. Will the investigation uncover systemic weaknesses in hospital oversight and asset protection?
