Noor Airways plans entry into Pakistan aviation market

Islamabad: A new private airline, Noor Airways, is planning to begin operations in Pakistan’s domestic aviation market. The airline’s application for a Regular Public Transport license has been processed by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority. Noor Airways plans to start services with Airbus A320 aircraft and initially operate on domestic routes across Pakistan. The entry of a new airline can increase competition, improve passenger choice, and potentially support better service standards in the aviation sector. Stronger domestic air connectivity also matters for business travel, tourism, airport-linked commercial activity, hotel demand, and investment movement between major cities. Can Noor Airways create fresh competition in Pakistan’s domestic aviation sector?
