Multan: The nine-kilometre Multan Avenue from Saidanwala Chowk to Sahu Chowk is being upgraded with wider carriageways, service roads, green corridors, pedestrian walkways, parking areas and improved drainage. Official briefings link the project with the Punjab government under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
The approved scheme was reported at Rs2.8 billion, while some official project briefings cited Rs2.89 billion. Plans include three lanes in each direction, service roads, landscaped parkways, walking tracks and off-street parking.
The project should not yet be described as having every planned component fully completed. Construction and landscaping were still being pushed in June and July 2026, while a special 24-hour asset-management system for the nine-kilometre avenue was introduced on September 2, showing that major sections are developed and being maintained.
