LDA Town Planning faces illegal construction allegations

Lahore: LDA Town Planning One has come under serious allegations over illegal constructions in several areas, including New Muslim Town, Shadman, Shah Jamal, Samanabad, Poonch Road Scheme, LOS, Shad Bagh, Gujjarpura, China Scheme, Ferozepur Road, Jail Road, Canal Road and Timber Market. The report claims that after the posting of Director Town Planning One Ali Nusrat, multiple illegal structures were allegedly allowed, including buildings previously sealed or demolished. Such allegations matter because illegal construction can cause major losses in map approval fees, commercialization charges and conversion revenue. It can also damage urban planning, traffic flow, safety standards and property market transparency. Will LDA take strict action to restore regulatory confidence?
