LDA seals 136 illegal commercial properties in major crackdown

Lahore: LDA Town Planning Wing has intensified its crackdown against illegal commercial buildings and fee defaulters, sealing 136 properties across major areas. Officials stated that operations were carried out in Johar Town, New Muslim Town, Gulberg, Faisal Town and Allama Iqbal Town. The sealed properties include private schools, colleges, academies, auto workshops, restaurants, shops and offices. Authorities highlighted that 83 properties were sealed in Johar Town alone, while additional actions were taken in other areas due to illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercialization fees. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Chief Town Planners, following strict directives from DG LDA Tahir Farooq to ensure compliance and protect urban planning regulations.
