LDA Governing Body approves policy changes, advances record digitization with PLRA

Lahore: The LDA Governing Body, chaired by Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed, approved key policy changes and reviewed progress on major initiatives. DG LDA Tahir Farooq briefed members on amendments to access area charges policy and the plan to accelerate record digitization through a service-level agreement with PLRA. Officials stated that over 102,000 files have already been digitized, while remaining records will be processed faster with PLRA support. The meeting also reviewed updates on the Lahore Master Plan. Authorities emphasized that these reforms will enhance transparency, improve record management and streamline administrative processes in the real estate sector.
