Lahore Price Inspection Finds Poor-Quality Items at Bedian Road Superstore

Lahore: Price inspections are continuing across Lahore on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Lahore Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Ali Ijaz. Assistant Commissioner Saddar Dr Abid Mumtaz Khan Sial inspected a superstore on Bedian Road, where the DC counter was checked. According to the provided information, fruits and vegetables were found to be of poor quality, while not all required items were available at the DC counter. The counter was also found to be inadequately maintained, resulting in a fine of Rs30,000. The deputy commissioner directed superstores to maintain DC counters according to prescribed standards, ensure zero tolerance for the sale of substandard items, prominently display official rate lists and take action against overcharging. The administration stated that consumers should be provided quality essential items at notified prices.
