Lahore launches major crackdown on illegal constructions, demolitions begin

Muhammad Muzamil Awan : Lahore: The district administration has launched a large-scale crackdown against illegal constructions and building code violations under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Muhammad Ali Ejaz. Operations were carried out in Ravi Zone areas including Begum Kot and Kala Khatai Road, as well as in Jamun area of Nishtar Zone. During the enforcement drive, seven illegal structures were demolished while two buildings were sealed due to unapproved plans and violations. Authorities have adopted a zero-tolerance policy against unauthorized construction and directed strict legal action, including FIRs, against those obstructing official operations. The initiative aims to ensure organized urban development and strengthen rule of law in the city.
