Lahore: Lahore General Hospital organized an awareness walk in connection with World Hepatitis Day to highlight the importance of prevention, early diagnosis, and public education about hepatitis B and C. The walk was led by Principal Professor Dr. Farooq Afzal and attended by doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff. Participants emphasized the need to spread maximum awareness among the public about precautionary measures, safe medical practices, hygiene, and timely screening to reduce the burden of liver disease. Such awareness activities are important for strengthening public health consciousness and improving confidence in urban healthcare systems. Better health awareness also supports social stability, workforce productivity, and community wellbeing. Can sustained awareness campaigns help reduce hepatitis cases in Pakistan?
