Lahore: The district administration has launched comprehensive measures to improve government schools across the city. Assistant commissioners conducted surprise inspections to review teacher and student attendance, teaching standards, cleanliness, drinking water and security arrangements. Dangerous classrooms were ordered to be cordoned off immediately, while alternative teaching arrangements were directed for affected students. The administration also made CCTV cameras, security guards and visitor registers mandatory at schools.
