Kasur: A new modern food court at Baldia Chowk, along with its approach road, has been formally inaugurated and opened for public use as part of the district administration’s urban-improvement programme. The project was inaugurated on September 14, 2026 by MNA and Parliamentary Secretary Mian Saad Waseem Sheikh, MPA Muhammad Naeem Safdar Ansari, MPA Safia Saeed and Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Asif Raza.
Officials say the facility has been designed as a family-oriented public space offering food and refreshment options, seating and recreational space. Dunya News independently reported that residents began visiting the food court after its opening and that the facility is intended to add to Kasur’s recreational amenities.
The project had been under development for several months. In July, Lahore Division Commissioner Nauman Yousaf inspected the Baldia Chowk Food Court and approach road while reviewing ongoing urban-improvement works in Kasur.
The latest district-administration post also highlights greenery, fountains, lighting and family seating. Those specific amenity details are based on the issuing administration’s latest description; independent reporting confirms the food court’s opening and public-use purpose but does not separately verify every listed feature.
