Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority has approved a record Rs152 billion budget for FY2026-27, the largest annual budget in the civic agency’s history. Of the total, Rs112 billion has been earmarked for development works, while Rs40 billion will cover non-development expenditure.
The development allocation includes Rs55 billion for 26 priority projects, Rs16 billion for 63 new schemes and Rs13.5 billion for 246 ongoing projects. The new schemes cover areas such as sector development, infrastructure, sewerage and Metrobus-related work. CDA expects receipts of around Rs152.5 billion, with 74% projected to come from self-financing sources including plot auctions, taxes and other charges.
The budget is around 68% larger than the initial Rs90.2bn budget for FY2025-26.
