Children’s Hospital Lahore completes 30-bed state-of-the-art burn unit at Rs700m cost

Lahore: The Children’s Hospital on Ferozepur Road has completed a modern 30-bed paediatric burn unit at a cost of Rs700 million, providing specialised treatment facilities for children suffering from burn injuries. The new unit includes an eight-bed intensive care unit and three dedicated operation theatres equipped for plastic surgery. According to Vice Chancellor University of Child Health Sciences Professor Dr Masood Sadiq, the state-of-the-art facility will allow affected children to receive comprehensive treatment under one roof, including reconstructive surgery and other specialised procedures. The facility is expected to reduce the need for referrals to other hospitals and improve access to advanced burn care for paediatric patients.
