Iran Announces 60-Day Waiver of Transit Fees in Strait of Hormuz

Tehran: Iran has announced a 60-day waiver of transit fees for ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz under the Islamabad MoU. The Supreme National Security Council stated that the government will cover the costs to support maritime trade and ensure smoother passage through this critical shipping route. Maritime agencies have been directed to prioritize transit requests while maintaining strict safety and security measures.
