Hafizabad sewerage project worth Rs 7.2bn progresses, 39% work completed

Hafizabad: A major sewerage development project worth Rs 7.2 billion is underway in Hafizabad, with 39% of the work already completed. Secretary Housing Punjab Noor-ul-Amin Mengal visited the district to review progress on multiple development sites. Officials stated that the project includes the construction of 73 km sewerage lines, 4.4 km rainwater drains and new disposal stations, along with the upgradation of an existing facility. Road rehabilitation and installation of PCC and tuff tiles are also part of the development package. Authorities emphasized accelerating work while ensuring strict safety measures. Experts believe the project will significantly improve urban infrastructure, sanitation and living standards in the area.
