Islamabad: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited the National Emergencies Operation Centre at NDMA Headquarters to review Pakistan’s preparedness for the ongoing monsoon season. Chairman NDMA Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik briefed him on NEOC’s operational capabilities, technology-based response systems and coordinated arrangements for managing natural disasters. The briefing also covered Disaster Lens 2026, prevailing monsoon conditions and multi-hazard monitoring mechanisms. Field Marshal Asim Munir commended NDMA’s efforts and stressed readiness, effective coordination among institutions and rapid action to protect lives and critical infrastructure. He assured that Pakistan’s Armed Forces were prepared to support NDMA and civil administrations in rescue, relief and rehabilitation operations.
