Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue collected Rs820.3 billion in net taxes during July 2026, exceeding its monthly target of Rs780 billion by about Rs40 billion. Gross collection reached Rs918.9 billion, while Rs98.6 billion was returned to taxpayers through refunds and rebates. Income tax collection stood at Rs308 billion after refunds, falling Rs15 billion short of its target. Sales tax contributed about Rs360 billion after refunds, while federal excise duty reached Rs47.8 billion and customs duty Rs114.8 billion. Customs exceeded its target by around Rs10 billion. Compared with Rs754 billion collected in July last year, the latest provisional figure shows growth of about 9%. The government has set an annual FBR revenue target of Rs15.264 trillion for fiscal year 2026–27.
