Emphasis on establishing peace in Lahore, major decisions taken in important meeting

Lahore: A meeting of the District Peace Committee was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Lahore Captain (retd) Muhammad Ali Ijaz, DIG Operations Faisal Kamran and CTO Lahore Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi. Members of the District Peace Committee, including Chairman Mufti Intikhab Alam, attended the meeting.
During the session, the committee’s role in maintaining peace during religious events including Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ and Ashura was appreciated. Committee members were also awarded certificates of appreciation for their efforts.
The officials highlighted the importance of coordination between the administration, police and community representatives for maintaining law and order. They said the peace committee has played an active role during major religious occasions and difficult situations.
Chairman District Peace Committee Mufti Intikhab Alam said the committee would continue working for peace, brotherhood and harmony across the district. The meeting concluded with a special prayer.
