Crown Group Plans Lithium Battery Plant at Port Qasim

Karachi: Crown Group has announced plans to establish a lithium battery manufacturing plant at Port Qasim, aiming to strengthen Pakistan’s electric vehicle and energy storage sector. The facility will focus on local production of batteries, reducing dependence on imports and lowering overall costs for EV adoption. Officials state that the project is expected to generate employment opportunities and support industrial growth. With global demand for lithium batteries rising, the initiative could position Pakistan as a competitive player in the regional battery manufacturing market while contributing to the country’s clean energy transition.
