Child Falls Into Open Manhole in Manawan, CCTV Footage Emerges

Lahore: A tragic incident occurred near BMC Stop in the Manawan area where a young child fell into an open manhole. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, showing the child accidentally slipping into the uncovered sewer. Following the incident, panic spread across the neighborhood. Local residents rescued the child from the manhole on their own before emergency services arrived. Citizens alleged that they had repeatedly informed the Assistant Commissioner of Wahga Town about open manholes in the area, but no preventive action was taken. Residents blamed administrative negligence and demanded immediate notice from higher authorities, warning that uncovered manholes have become a serious threat to public safety.
