Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced that workers and daily-wage labourers will receive medical treatment directly at their workplaces through mobile hospitals. The initiative is aimed at ensuring workers can access timely healthcare without repeatedly travelling to hospitals or losing their daily earnings. According to the chief minister’s official update, mobile medical facilities will reach workers at their places of employment, allowing them to receive treatment while protecting both their health and livelihood. Punjab already operates a wider mobile healthcare network through field hospitals and Clinics on Wheels. However, the latest announcement does not specify the number of workplaces to be covered, eligible worker categories, deployment schedule or a separate budget for the initiative.
