CDA Warns Buyers Against Homes Built on Jinnah Garden School Plots

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority has warned residents and buyers against purchasing or building on land reserved for schools, playgrounds and other public facilities in Jinnah Garden Phase-I, Zone-5. CDA said houses and other structures built on these plots are illegal and have no legal status. One disputed plot was marked for a school in the approved layout plan dated April 9, 2011, while a playground plot had already been transferred to CDA in November 2011. The society’s sponsors have been directed to transfer the remaining school land and restore public facility plots to their approved use. CDA’s official record shows that Jinnah Garden Phase-I’s layout plan was cancelled in 2018 and its NOC has not been issued.
