CDA Sets September 26 Auction for 5 Prime Islamabad Hotel Plots

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will hold an open auction of five plots designated for hotel development on September 26, 2026, at the Jinnah Convention Centre. CDA’s official auction brochure confirms the September 26 schedule and lists five hotel sites in D-12 Markaz, F-5/1, E-11 Northern Strip and along Srinagar Highway.

The largest sites include Plot No. 6 in F-5/1 at 21,777.77 square yards, Plot No. 8 in F-5/1 at 18,055.55 square yards, the E-11 Northern Strip hotel plot at 13,169.33 square yards, Plot No. 22 in D-12 at 5,274 square yards, and a 2,444.44-square-yard hotel site on Srinagar Highway between the Sports Complex and Margalla Hotel.

Under CDA’s official payment terms, successful bidders must deposit an initial 25% within 30 days. The remaining amount can be paid in three instalments over one year. Building-plan approval can be sought after the initial 25% payment, while possession can be obtained after 75% payment, subject to a bank guarantee covering the balance.

CDA is offering a 5% rebate on the total premium if full payment is made within 30 days of the provisional bid acceptance letter. An additional 5% rebate is available where the remaining amount is paid in US dollars through the proper banking channel within the prescribed period. Overseas Pakistanis can use the Roshan Digital Account channel, while overseas participants must arrange their auction token at least a day before the auction.

Importantly, winning the highest bid at the auction does not automatically make the sale final. CDA’s brochure states that auction results remain subject to approval by the CDA Board.
