Capital Development Authority Misses Park Road Underpass Opening Deadline

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority has missed the July 30, 2026, deadline for completing and opening the Margalla Enclave underpass on Park Road. Construction remained underway after the scheduled date, while motorists continued using narrow temporary diversions that have caused congestion and longer travel times, particularly during peak hours. The underpass is intended to connect Park Road directly with DHA Margalla Enclave and improve access to nearby residential developments, including Park View City and Bahria Enclave. Earlier official briefings indicated that the underpass would be completed during July, with the remaining components of the broader road project expected in August. However, CDA had not announced a revised opening date at the time of reporting.
