Rawalpindi Traffic Alert Major Roads to Close on August 4

Rawalpindi: Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam has finalised a comprehensive traffic management plan for Chehlum processions scheduled for Tuesday, August 4. A total of 11 processions will be held across Rawalpindi district, while more than 310 traffic officers and personnel will be deployed to regulate traffic and assist commuters. Authorities will establish 12 diversion points, with temporary closures planned on Liaquat Road, City Saddar Road, Kashmiri Bazaar Road, Ganjmandi Road, Bagh Sardaran Road, Banni Chowk, Iqbal Road, Gordon College Road, Fourth Road, Fifth Road and Asghar Mall Road. Farhan Aslam directed traffic officials to remain on high alert, coordinate with district police and guide motorists towards designated alternative routes.
