BRT Expands to District Khyber with 100 New Buses

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi has announced the expansion of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system to District Khyber, extending routes to Tedi Bazaar (Jamrud) and Bara Bazaar. To enhance passenger convenience and reduce overcrowding, the provincial government has approved the addition of 100 new buses — 50 purchased already and 50 more on the way.
During a visit to the University of Peshawar Station, the Chief Minister traveled by BRT to Karkhano Station, engaging with commuters to assess service quality. He described the BRT as an affordable and efficient transport solution for the poor and middle class. Afridi reaffirmed that public feedback will guide future improvements, ensuring safe, modern, and accessible urban mobility in KP.
