Job Description
The Urban Unit is inviting applications for the position of Junior Engineer under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar ACAG Program. This initiative of the Chief Minister Punjab is aimed at supporting affordable housing across the province, including physical verification of plot locations, identification of applicants or borrowers, and verification of construction progress of houses.
The selected candidate will work in a field and office based role anywhere in Punjab and will support site verification, inspections, technical reporting, and progress monitoring under the program.
Responsibilities
Visit allocated sites and verify housing as per the prescribed checklist of tasks
Conduct site inspections and support quality control activities
Upload data pictures and reports through designated systems
Report project progress to management and senior staff
Use computer tablets and digital tools professionally for field reporting
Engage professionally with clients and house owners
Prepare reporting and documentation related to site activities
Collect engineering technical and social data from the field
Observe environmental and health and safety matters during inspections
Collect socioeconomic and financial data of the owner where required
Requirements
BSc or BE in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from HEC recognized university
PEC registration required
For BSc or BE Civil candidates, 6 months to 1 year experience is required
Fresh candidates possessing a Master degree in Civil Engineering or a related field or management discipline are also eligible to apply
Candidates with Master degree in Engineering Project Management or MBA will be preferred
Strong physical fitness required for field work and travel across Punjab
Must be willing to work 5 to 6 days per week in field assignments
