Job Description
Punjab Rural Municipal Services Company PRMSC is inviting applications for the position of Infrastructure Engineer under the Punjab Rural Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation Project PRSWSSP. PRMSC is a government owned not for profit company and is executing this World Bank funded project in selected tehsils of Punjab Province.
The selected candidate will be responsible for planning monitoring and managing infrastructure and water supply related engineering activities in the targeted tehsils. The role requires strong experience in civil engineering infrastructure development and water supply or sewerage operations along with the ability to coordinate consultants contractors and stakeholders for effective project delivery.
Responsibilities
Review existing water related operation and maintenance plans procedures and protocols in the targeted tehsils of PRSWSSP
Develop a comprehensive strategy for provision of new schemes and operational plans related to water supply systems to achieve project targets
Propose performance indicators for cost effective sustainable accountable transparent and environmentally friendly municipal services delivery related to water supply
Manage supervise and guide consultants in developing and implementing water supply schemes in the targeted tehsils
Oversee and manage resources deployed at SDUs for effective and efficient working of project water supply schemes
Work closely with consultants and contractors to prepare project plans schedules design and specifications cost saving measures and solutions for construction issues
Monitor progress of engineering consultants and related contractors in terms of timelines forecasting cost and quality
Manage monitoring framework and dashboard of water supply projects
Hold progress review meetings with stakeholders especially consultants and contractors and maintain regular follow up on agreed actions
Requirements
BSc in Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering Mechanical Engineering or Public Health Engineering
Minimum 8 years relevant work experience in matters related to civil engineering infrastructure development water supply or sewerage operations
Minimum 4 years experience of working in similar projects or assignments
Strong understanding of public infrastructure and municipal service delivery systems
Ability to coordinate consultants contractors and project stakeholders
Punjab domicile required
