Dubai’s Trade Centre Roundabout Upgrade to Cut Travel Time to 90 Seconds

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is upgrading the Trade Centre Roundabout and Al Mustaqbal Street to significantly reduce travel time across key city routes. Sheikh Hamdan reviewed the projects, which link Sheikh Zayed Road with five major streets including Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street and 2nd December Street. The Trade Centre Roundabout project will reduce travel time from 12 minutes to just 90 seconds on one route, and from six minutes to one minute on another. The phased openings begin in January and will continue through October, with the full plan doubling the junction’s capacity. The Al Mustaqbal Street upgrade will widen the road to four lanes per direction, increasing capacity by 33% and cutting travel time from 13 minutes to six minutes by its 2027 completion. RTA notes these upgrades typically boost property values by 6–16%.
