Lahore: A meeting of the Suthra Punjab Authority Board of Directors was held under the chairmanship of Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique, where financial and administrative matters of Suthra Punjab agencies were reviewed. Secretary Local Government Shakeel Ahmad, DG Suthra Punjab Umar Javed, board members, and divisional commissioners also participated, while the board approved regulations for the authority. Officials discussed waste collection fee targets, capacity building, and faster progress on waste-to-value projects. The minister said additional landfill sites will be developed where needed, while work is underway to produce biogas, organic fertilizer, and other useful products from waste. Can Punjab turn urban waste into investment and cleaner cities?
