Bilal Yasin Places WASA Punjab on High Alert During Monsoon Rains

Lahore: Punjab Housing and Urban Development Minister Bilal Yasin has directed WASA Punjab and all relevant departments to remain on high alert amid the ongoing monsoon rains. The DG WASA Punjab and managing directors have been instructed to stay in the field and personally supervise drainage operations. Additional staff and machinery will be deployed at low-lying areas, underpasses and other sensitive locations, while emergency response teams will remain active around the clock. The minister also ordered complete functionality of disposal stations, generators and dewatering machines, strict implementation of operational plans and immediate handling of public complaints through emergency control rooms and helplines.
