Murree GT Road Closed Until July 20 for Repair Work

The Islamabad Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory announcing the temporary closure of Murree GT Road beyond the 17 Mile Toll Plaza from July 16 to July 20 due to ongoing road rehabilitation and maintenance work. During the closure, all traffic heading towards Murree through this section will be diverted to alternative routes. Authorities have advised commuters and tourists to plan their journeys in advance, follow designated diversion routes, and cooperate with traffic officials to avoid delays. The repair work is aimed at improving road safety, driving conditions, and long-term connectivity on one of the busiest routes linking Islamabad with Murree during the peak tourist season.
