FIA Busts PSO Diesel Theft Network, Arrests Two Suspects

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), in collaboration with Pakistan State Oil (PSO), has dismantled a major diesel theft network operating from the PSO pipeline near Sihala, Islamabad, arresting two suspects during a raid. Investigators say the group had been stealing approximately 20,000 litres of diesel every day by illegally tapping into the main pipeline and selling the fuel on the black market. The network is believed to have remained active for nearly five to six months, causing an estimated loss of more than Rs100 million to the national exchequer. Authorities have registered a case against the suspects and launched further investigations to identify additional accomplices, including any officials who may have facilitated the operation.
