Lahore: Punjab Revenue Authority has accelerated work on the new business registration and invoice monitoring system across the province to improve tax transparency and curb fake invoicing. A video-link meeting was chaired by PRA Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Supra, where commissioners from all districts briefed officials on progress regarding new business registrations and action against non-filers. The meeting also reviewed monthly revenue targets, district-level performance, service sector tax collection, pending cases, and recovery of outstanding dues. Officials were directed to guide the business community, ensure transparent return filing, and speed up enforcement operations against fraud. A stronger digital tax system can support business confidence, commercial documentation, and real estate-linked economic activity. Can digital monitoring reduce tax fraud in Punjab?
