Ali Raza Wajid :Lahore: Provincial Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique chaired an important meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Disaster Management at the PDMA Head Office, where multiple emergency and protective schemes against river erosion and flooding were reviewed and approved. The meeting approved major projects for protecting villages and agricultural land along the Chenab, Ravi and other vulnerable river locations, including schemes in Kasur, Sheikhupura, Mianwali and Jhang. Officials said the measures are being taken under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision to protect lives, property and public infrastructure from flood damage.
