Karachi: Authorities have approved 21 official cattle markets across all districts ahead of Eidul Azha to manage livestock trading, public movement and festival-related crowd pressure. The approved markets aim to provide safer, cleaner and more organized spaces for buyers and sellers as thousands of animals are expected to reach the city from different parts of Pakistan. Officials are also preparing traffic planning, sanitation arrangements and basic public convenience measures to reduce illegal roadside markets. The decision can support seasonal business activity, improve urban order and reduce pressure on roads and neighborhoods.
