DC orders penalties over poor cleanliness under Suthra Punjab drive

Muhammad Muzamil Awan : Gujranwala: In line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s “Suthra Punjab” vision, Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmed conducted an early morning emergency visit to review sanitation conditions. He inspected Kangniwala Bypass Flyover, railway lines, and surrounding areas, expressing dissatisfaction over poor cleanliness standards. The DC directed the Gujranwala Waste Management Company to impose heavy penalties on contractors and ensure immediate improvement in cleanliness along key roads and railway tracks. Officials were instructed to enhance monitoring and maintain consistent sanitation standards to provide a cleaner environment for citizens.
