CM Punjab summons emergency meeting over surge in crime, orders strict action

Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has taken notice of the sudden rise in crime incidents and convened an emergency meeting to address the situation. During the session, she reviewed video evidence of crimes and expressed strong concern over increasing cases of robbery, kidnapping, and violence. Police officials from across the province were directed to take preventive measures and improve enforcement. The Chief Minister emphasized accountability, instructing RPOs and DPOs to ensure coordination with Crime Control Departments. She reiterated that maintaining law and order is a top priority and warned that negligence will not be tolerated. Authorities have been tasked to deliver immediate results and restore public confidence in safety.
