Punjab set to launch ART system, major transport upgrade ahead

Punjab: The provincial government is preparing to operationalize the Automated Rapid Transport (ART) system as part of a broader transport reform initiative. Officials stated that the project has received approval from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and is aimed at modernizing urban mobility. Authorities highlighted that the project is estimated to cost around Rs 6 billion and is expected to be launched before June. The ART system is designed to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and provide efficient public transport facilities. Experts believe that the initiative will enhance connectivity, support urban development and improve daily commuting for citizens across key areas.
